CYCLING & BIKING
The Camel Trail
The 18-mile Camel Trail links Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin via a traffic-free route that follows an old railway track alongside the river Camel. Bikes can be hired from Wadebridge or Bodmin.
Cardinham Woods has 3 off-road bike trails, with the 12km Bodmin Beast blue (moderate) trail and two tough red graded trails. Bikes are available for hire. Visit www.trailmunki.com for details including costs. There is also a great café.
10 kilometres of purpose-built, off- road cycle trails, weaving through woodland on the Lanhydrock estate. Graded according to difficulty, the cycle trails are perfect for all levels of competence.
Of course, the main watersport in Cornwall is surfing. If you fancy giving it a try, there are surf schools at Bude, Watergate Bay, Polzeath, Perranporth & Harlyn Bay to name a few.
Siblyback Lake & Roadford Lake both provide tuition in sailing, windsurfing, kayaking & waterskiing, or you can just hire equipment.
